What's Happening In Jiu-Jitsu
-FloSports has set up a new Amazon FAST channel, intended to supplement and enhance existing FloSports subscriptions. The channel will feature all of our sports, and grappling fans should expect to mainly see highly produced, single camera events on the channel (rather than larger multi-mat events).
-Taylor Pearman has officially replaced Izaak Michell at the ADCC World Championships in the -77kg division - streaming live on FloGrappling. This will be Pearman's second ADCC Worlds, after 2024.
-IBJJF Kids Pans went down this weekend in Orlando, FL on FloGrappling, with AOJ winning the overall team title. The most notable result was probably Icaro Moreno (2-time WNO veteran) winning his eighth Kids Pan gold medal in what will be his final year of youth eligibility.
-BJJ Stars 19 goes down later this week on Friday exclusively on FloGrappling, with brackets and press conference to come the day before. This event will feature what is probably the toughest Masters bracket ever, featuring athletes like Rafael Lovato Jr, Gregor Gracie, Jaime Canuto, Horlando Monteiro, and more.
-ADCC held another Open event in Brazil, in Indaiatuba. Notable winners include some athletes training for the ADCC Worlds like Ana Rodrigues and Vinicius Lessa. Full archives now on FloGrappling
-Jay Rodriguez beat Vagner Rocha in his return bout after over one year out of competition. His next event will be the ADCC Worlds, live on FloGrappling.
-PGF team The Colorado Wolverines held a qualifier event for their upcoming season. There was also an open qualifier event in Australia, held in partnership with Who's Next Grappling.
-Subversion Grappling held another event in Australia, this time highlighted by Sebastian Attard capturing promotional championship gold.
-Gordon Ryan revealed this week that he was previously in discussions to face Khamzat Chimaev in a super fight at the 2024 ADCC Worlds.
-Polaris announced upcoming open tournaments (with limited spots) at men's -66kg, -70kg, and -77kg, with a spot on a future Polaris card on the line in each bracket.
-AIGA announced that Bre Stikk will be in one of their feature super matches at their GGS Istanbul event later this year at -57kg.
