What's Happening In Jiu-Jitsu
-Mateusz Szczecinski won a stacked bracket at Polaris 38 to retain his promotional welterweight championship and win $30,000. He defeated PJ Barch in the finals after two submission victories on the way to the finals. In co-main event action, Sarah Galvão won the Polaris bantamweight title by submission.
-The IBJJF Asian Open has concluded in Osaka, Japan. CheckMat & InFight captured the team titles for adult male & female, with notable black belt champions including Jackson Nagai, Mateo Cardona, Ashlee Funegra, and Keanna Klay.
-Adele Fornarino will not return to ADCC 2026 to defend her championship, instead opting to do UFC BJJ instead. Her spot will be given instead to East & West Coast Trials runner-up Valerie Hamilton.
