What's Happening In Jiu-Jitsu
-IBJJF Kids Brasileiro went down over the weekend, featuring so many of the best young athletes from the country (and even around the world). GNS Academy Brasil took the overall team championship, followed by CheckMat, Gracie Barra, and GF Team.
-Polaris has announced several more names for their upcoming Polaris 38 Welterweight Grand Prix - with the title belt and $30k on the line. Entries so far include;
- Deandre Corbe
- Taylor Pearman
- Carson Coles
- Tommy Langaker
-BJJ Stars 19 will feature several individual matches, including Giovanna Carneiro vs Livia Barasine, Marcos Vinicius vs Willian Arimura, and Diogo Almeida vs Roberto Godoi.
-The PBJJF announced over $70,000 in cash prizes at their upcoming PBJJF World Championship, which will air live on FloGrappling.
-Registration has closed for ADCC Asia & Oceania Trials, going down June 20th on FloGrappling.
-Few IBJJF Opens over the weekend. Highlights include;
- Jonatham Gabriel da Silva and Sara Lehto won double gold in London. Other champs include Florian Bayili, Thomas Bracher, and Eduardo Roque.
- Dante Leon won gold at the no-gi Detroit open in the medium-heavy division.
- Lucas Calado and Suellen Lima de Souza won double gold at the Charlotte Open.
-ADCC veteran Dillon Danis lost by fall to Khamzat Chimaev at RAF 10. After the match, there was a brawl between the two camps because of Dillon's tactics in the match.
-F2W 318 went down in Portland, OR. Featured on the card was a lot of local talent like black belt Charlie Gilpin, who won by rear naked choke.
