Whenever we get a comment on the musings of The Daily Triangle, it usually falls into one of three categories:
- Relative obligated to check out our blog, demanding more Noodle commentary
- Friend we specifically mentioned in a post in hopes of gaining yet another loyal reader
- Someone in Saudi Arabia hawking both back medication and bikini models as part of a burgeoning cross-promotion strategy
Here are the highlights thus far:
“We just accepted in another rescue cat from the local shelter last workweek. I will never be able to figure how anyone could abandon or worse neglect a cat. A portion of people believe that cats can stand for themselves since they are predators. They are damned strong-minded and wild little critters, but once a cat has been domesticized it not only loses its ability to live in the wild, but the person who took the cat in has a duty to care for it. It really saddens me to acknowledge that anyone could abandon a cat. That is why I seek to assist as best I can by taking in rescue cats.”
(We do agree with this sentiment, although we’re not quite sure how it relates to our post on development in downtown Carrboro…)
“Tiger needs to go on Oprah. All will be forgiven…”
(This comment also included a link back to a Florida Health Insurance company.)
“Wow! Fine contribution. I have read a few of your other posts and they are all informative too – keep up the good work. Thanks a lot for helping to bring awareness to the need for real solutions. (We agree! Our site is awesome! Thanks for commenting! We love you!) Because numerous of us are struggling with low back pain, I really want to share the information about what has helped me…But rush, that free offer may possibly end at any time!” (Oh. Gosh darn it. Damn you, spammers.)
“The trick is to recognize a shadow when you see it!”
(This commenter’s name is “Watch Full Length Movies”. Okay…you’ve convinced me! Documentary shorts are abominable! Also shadows!)
“Your photographs of your bathing suit model tend to be really great. You’ve carried out an admirable job addressing the latest styles for 2010 and beyond.” (Mom? Is that you?)
Spammers of the world – lesson learned. Attack our website with marketing ploys, and you will be totally ignored. Or, highlighted in your very own post. Either way, we showed you!

Wait. I think I missed something. Exactly WHEN is Noodle going to post another commentary? I’m really anxious to hear Noodle’s views on rescue cats.
