Foodie Efficiency

by Laura

I have a ton of work to do next week (and, sadly, for the next four years), and while living off Harold’s stir fry is an experience not-to-be-missed, I am super-duper looking forward to getting dinner made by Foster’s Market!  Many of you Dukies may remember enjoying brunch in their outdoor sitting area or getting their boxed lunches and chocolate chip cookies at campus events.

For $100 total, they’ll prepare 5 days worth of meals for 2 people, and if you’re a first time customer, you’ll get 10% off.  The menu is fixed, but it rotates regularly, and you can check it out in advance online.  We’re expecting Shepherd’s Pie, Bourbon Glazed Salmon, Coconut Curried Chicken, Seasonal Veggie Risotto, Three Cheese Baked Rigatoni, Garden Salad, Herb Biscuits and Pumpkin Cookies.  They also have special choices for vegetarians and kiddies.  I’ll be anxious to see if these to-go offerings live up to the fresh, delicious goodness of their in-person dining.

Holiday note:  They offer a pricey but yummy sounding Thanksgiving catering menu, too – if you want to enjoy some wine & free samples, today is your chance to stop by their Chapel Hill locale.
