World Series fact

By Harold

imagesThe New York Yankees won the World Series in 1996, 1998, 1999 and 2000 (and made the WS in 2001). Then I move to New York, and the Yankees fail to win from 2002-2008. Then I move out in August, and the Yankees win again.

Moral of the story: with just one giant upset of an exception (Giants over undefeated Pats in ’07), my presence is a bad omen for hometown sports fans (see: Redskins, Capitals, Bullets/Wizards, Orioles/Nationals, Hurricanes, Jets, Mets, Rangers, Knicks, Devils, Nets, Islanders).
