As time passes, we like to think that Noodle’s love for her trusted owners grows. Unfortunately, this love is tested every few months or so, when she suffers through a complete betrayal in the form of a trip to the groomer’s.
In Queens, we went to Super Doggy Wonder Kitty, which made up for its lack of poshness with an awesome name. Noodle tolerated the experience until the day my sister walked her though some wet concrete. Shortly thereafter, the poor groomer was forced to chip away at the pieces of sidewalk now stuck between Noodle’s toes. Traumatized for all future visits, Noodle resolutely spit out any treats given as peace offerings, much to the dismay of all.
As our moving van pulled away from Queens, we’re pretty sure that Noodle was happy to see Super Doggy Wonder Kitty go, and may even have felt a small sense of victory. Unfortunately for her, that victory was short lived:

No pictures, please!
I really, really wanted to use this mobile dog grooming van, because, well, it seemed like fun. But, since door-to-door pampering does not fit into our current budget (or lack thereof), we sought out Albert at Petco. We have to give Albert credit for wisely circumventing the treat-spitting by giving us a baggie of goodies to go. Noodle may have met her match! We’ll let you all you eager readers know how this budding relationship develops. Stay tuned!
